Test both waste (gray & black) plumbing systems for leaks under the sinks, around the toilet and discharge lines

Verify drain cap is/are in place and will hold waste water.

Operates on all heat sources-120AC, LP gas and 12 volt DC for 3 way refrigerators.

Collect serial and model number, verify with manufacturer if recall notice has been issued and completed.

Test interior temperature of freezer and refrigerator (refrigerator must be operational for 12 hours or more)

 

Water Heater (if equipped)

Identify brand, model and type of water heater

Burner assembly an gas exhaust system, check for blockages and insect infestation

Verify operation on all heat sources-LP gas and 120 volt AC if equipped with heating element.

 

Furnace (if installed)

Identify brand, model and type (if accessible)

Inspect air intake and exhaust assemblies for blockage's and insect infestation

Warm air discharge out of vents and return air flow to unit.

 

Cook Top/Stove

Condition of cook top or stove

Ignition and operation of all top burners and the oven flame (if equipped)

Condition of metal grill top and rubber grommets of top burner area.

 

Air Conditioner (s)

Identify type of cooling unit/heat pump

Cooling efficiency test (Delta T) on each unit.

 

Washer/Dryer (if installed)

Note model and serial number (if accessible)

Note condition of supply and drain hose/s (if accessible)

 

Microwave/Convection Oven

Identify brand and type of unit.

Operate for 60 seconds utilizing a cup of water and then list temperature

 

Dishwasher (if installed)

Identify brand, model and type of unit (if accessible)

 

Interior Condition and Appearance

Ceilings, walls, interior doors and flooring for signs of water intrusion, surface damage and/or staining.

Operate windows, doors and note any deficiencies or missing components

Interior and exterior lighting operation. 12 and 120 volt

 

Cabinets and Closet Condition

Cabinet doors, drawers and pull operation

Visually inspect counter tops and flat surfaces of the kitchen, living room, bathroom, bedroom for damage.

 

Furniture

Condition of dinette, table/booth, chairs, recliners and sofa

Note furniture fabric tears, discoloration and signs of excessive wear

 

Entertainment Systems

TV and Stereo Equipment

DVD/Disc players and radio

Raise and lower roof antenna (if equipped)

 

Shower/Tub Enclosure

Glass panels and/or curtains

Rate seals around frame work and doors for water leaks.

 

Chassis and Undercarriage

Rust, damage and excessive oil on the underside of the motorhome. (from exterior view only, inspector is not allowed under the RV)

 

Steering

Bent or damaged components and hydraulic leaks. (from exterior view only, inspector is not allowed under the RV)

 

Leveling System (if equipped)

Extend and retract leveling system

Hydraulic leaks or mechanical issues.

 

Engine (strongly recommend performing fluid analysis)

Make and model of engine

Oil level, noises and/or indications of engine issues

Oil pressure reading on the dash gauges
